Scouting Year Winding Down
Spring is here, and the Scouting year is officially winding down, but there is still much work to do and more fun to be had.
Many of the boys have recently earned, or are about to earn their Rank Badges. This is the goal that they have worked on this entire scouting year, and now is not the time to quit. Help them. Perseverance - I always thought – should have been the thirteenth point of the Scout Law.
This summer there are a number of Scouting camp options for the boys. I encourage you to find one that fits your schedule. These camps give the boys an opportunity to do things that they may not be able to do almost anywhere else. Spending time with other scouts playing games, building projects, learning new skills, and earning badges is a great way for them to spend a week. So whether your son is ready for an overnight camp or just a day camp, check them out. The memories of my time as a scout during summer camp are some of my fondest.
One sad thing that happens every year is that we lose some people that are a tremendous impact to our Pack. Our loss is the Troops gain, but we need to replace these people in some important positions. Please consider helping us continue to keep the Pack strong and active!
See you on the Scouting Trail.
